WELLBEING: Mindfulness for Busy Minds
WELLBEING: Mindfulness for Busy Minds

In our everyday lives, the mind can feel busy, scattered, anxious or relentlessly self-critical — and many of us try to manage this by pushing thoughts away, wrestling with them or attempting to “think our way out” of uncomfortable situations. But fighting the mind is a battle we rarely win. In fact, this reactivity often makes life feel even harder.
Mindfulness helps us to let go of this struggle as we gradually develop a more compassionate relationship with our minds. This may not sound like much but it can have a profound effect on our day-to-day experience and overall sense of wellbeing.
You are invited to come along to explore these and other ideas through guided mindful practices and reflections. Practices can be done sitting, standing or lying down. These monthly sessions are led by Sarah-Linda Johnson, experienced mindfulness teacher (with trauma sensitive training) and Cramleigh contributor. www.livingandlovingmindfully.co.uk

What to bring: a yoga mat (if you have one), some water to drink, warm, comfortable clothes and a sense of curiosity. You may also want to bring a blanket/cushion or other items for your comfort.
Sessions may include mindful walking which some people prefer to do in socks rather than shoes.

Please note, there will be a pop-up bakery shop open at the front of the building during this session. We're hoping to use screens to help minimise disruption and the session itself will continue to be calm and supportive.
