WORKSHOP: Botanical Clay Tiles

Join workshop leader Jude Coles to learn the process of pressing botanicals into clay, mixing plaster and pouring into a mould to create your own unique plaster tile. Once the tiles have been demoulded, you will give them an initial gentle wash and Jude will advise on how to properly clean and paint your tile at home.

A selection of flowers and foliage from Jude's garden will be provided for you to press. However, you are welcome to bring your own favourite garden flowers/herbs/grasses. It does make it so special when you capture your own garden memories in plaster.

What to bring: Wear old clothes and bring an apron as you will get messy! Bring an old towel to wrap your wet plaster cast in to keep it safe for the journey.

No previous experience is necessary.
