WORKSHOP: Get Knotted! Macrame Club

Thu 10 Sep 2026 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM Saltash Studios, PL12 4BY

Introducing Get Knotted!!! It’s a club but knot as you know it! — your monthly dose of knot‑making magic.

Taking place on Thursdays 4 June, 2 July & 10 September.

Whether you’re a total beginner or already knot‑obsessed, this is for you! Each session is designed to be friendly, accessible, and full of encouragement.

You will combine a knotting masterclass with time to work on your own projects. I will be on hand to help with the tricky bits, translate patterns and bring you fresh project ideas.

Each meet‑up will blend hands‑on learning with relaxed, feel‑good crafting. You’ll master new knots, experiment with textures, and create stunning modern macramé pieces with your own personal twist.

All practice materials and equipment will be provided but you will need to bring a kit to work on.

Maybe you have one in the back of the cupboard or half made that got the better of you…bring it along and we’ll turn it into something beautiful!

Macrame promotes mindfulness, patience, and wellbeing. It is a forgiving craft, if you don’t like your result, you simply undo and have another go! I am self-taught, I love the endless possibilities of Macrame and I can’t wait to meet this amazing community of knotters.

This club is led by Stephanie Hurrell of Thrive with Craft:
I began learning macramé four years ago while helping raise funds for medical aid for Ukraine working alongside displaced Ukrainian families who had settled in my hometown.

I’ve tried many crafts over the years, but macramé quickly became much more than a hobby. Today, I run my own small business designing and selling my pieces and sharing my love of knots with others.

Sustainability is at the heart of my work. I use rescued or recycled materials wherever possible, giving them a second life and ensuring that my practice does no harm to people or the planet. I love showing how discarded items can be transformed into something beautiful, and I’m passionate about encouraging others to “tread lightly on the planet.”

My style blends traditional macramé techniques with a modern twist, combining different materials and textures to create plant hangers, wall hangings, and home and garden décor inspired by nature.
