WORKSHOP: Collage Making Using Gelli Plate - Monoprint Technique

Learn the basics of gelli plate printing in this practical workshop, where you will explore a range of simple techniques to create colourful abstract prints.

You will be introduced to image transfer, layering, colour mixing and the use of ready made and hand-cut stencils to build texture, pattern and depth. Step by step, you will experiment, play and discover how combining these techniques can produce unique, abstract and expressive prints. Your finished prints can be used for collage, mixed-media artwork, art journals, greeting cards, bookbinding or other paper-based creative projects.

This workshop is suitable for beginners as well as anyone with some previous printmaking experience who would like to develop their skills. All materials are provided.

This workshop is led by Agnieszka Zajac , an artist who specialises in mixed media, surreal art. She works with paper and collage, layering, cutting and creating beautiful works of art. She studied Visual Art, Interiors Design, Humanities and Art Therapy and is based in Plymouth where her studios is filled with old books, vintage magazines, photographs and retro postcards.
