WORKSHOP: Vintage Mixed Media Collage on Canvas - Learn Decoupage

Slow down, experiment and discover the joy of creating mixed media collage in this relaxed workshop. Using vintage photographs, layers of paper, fabric, tissue and found materials, you will create a beautifully textured abstract collage on a small canvas to take home.

Originally popularised in 17th-century Italy and France, decoupage is a decorative art form that transforms cut paper and imagery into richly layered surfaces. Inspired by this timeless technique, this workshop combines traditional methods with contemporary mixed media approaches, encouraging you to play with colour, texture, composition and balance in an intuitive way.

Designed for all abilities, this workshop is about exploration, discovery and mindful approach to art making. The gentle, repetitive process of layering delicate materials offers a calm and restorative creative experience, leaving you with not only a finished piece of art but also new techniques and inspiration to continue creating at home.

This workshop is led by Agnieszka Zajac , an artist who specialises in mixed media, surreal art. She works with paper and collage, layering, cutting and creating beautiful works of art. She studied Visual Art, Interiors Design, Humanities and Art Therapy and is based in Plymouth where her studios is filled with old books, vintage magazines, photographs and retro postcards.
