WELLBEING: Mindfulness for Busy Minds

A chance to pause, breathe and reconnect — whatever kind of day you're having
In our everyday lives, the mind can feel busy, scattered, anxious or relentlessly self-critical. We may try to push difficult thoughts away, wrestle with them or think our way out of uncomfortable situations — this can leave us feeling worn out and stuck
Mindfulness offers a different approach. Through simple, guided practices, we can begin to develop a kinder and more compassionate relationship with our thoughts, feelings and experiences. This can create a little more space, ease and choice in everyday life
These sessions offer a welcoming opportunity to explore mindfulness through guided practices and gentle reflection. Practices can be tailored to your needs and can be done sitting, standing or lying down and may include mindful walking/gentle movement
No previous experience is needed. You don't need to be “good at meditation” — just come as you are, with a little curiosity
Sessions are led by Sarah-Linda Johnson, an experienced mindfulness teacher with trauma-sensitive training
18 years and over.
What to bring: a yoga mat if you have one, water, warm comfortable clothing and anything else that helps you feel comfortable, such as a blanket or cushion
Participants say:
"Lovely and relaxing, peaceful and mind stilling. Just what I was looking for"
"Really enjoyed it. Definitely try it!"

Please note, there will be a pop-up bakery shop open at the front of the building during this session. We use screens to help minimise disruption and the session itself will continue to be calm and supportive.
