Bradwell - The Chapel and the River
Sat 28 Sep 2024 11:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Bradwell Village Hall, CM0 7QJ
Description
This is a spectacular waterside walk on the eastern edge of the isolated Dengie Peninsula. It provides the opportunity to visit what is arguably the most important historic site in the Maldon District – the ancient, lonely chapel of St. Peter’s on the Wall, which dates back to the 7th century. There will be a lunch stop at the secluded retreat of the Othona Community, who will make us very welcome.
Walk Highlight: Walking in the steps of Saint Cedd at St Peter's Chapel. A moderate walk of 6.4 miles.
