This spectacular walk of 4.3 miles starts from Heybridge Basin and follows the seawall alongside the river Blackwater, then heads towards Beeleigh via the tranquil river Chelmer. After seeing Beeleigh Falls, you'll take a short detour to have a tour of the historic Beeleigh Mill, which is rarely open to the public. Then you'll board a canal boat at Beeleigh Lock for a beautiful trip back up the Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation to Heybridge Basin where you started.

• Public transport - All Saints Church, High Street, Maldon, Bus 73B departs 08:31 arrives 08:48 or Bus 90 departing 09:22 arrival 09:53 then a short walk to Daisy Meadow, Car Park.
