Explore the area’s newest nature reserve, Chelmer & Blackwater Reserve: Ironworks Meadow, with your guide John Buchanan, one of the founders of this very special place. It is a flourishing habitat for many different species of flora and fauna.

The gentle 2.8 mile walk will also take in a stretch of the river Chelmer to see the attractive Beeleigh Falls.

• Accessibility of route - Walk with some uneven or muddy ground. Some pavement walking in at start/end. Walking boots recommended

• Public Transport - Several Buses arrive at Maldon Tesco, Fullbridge Bus stop which include the 90/95/75/288. if you arriving from Burnham-on-Crouch use the 31 Bus to arrive into Maldon high Street with a short walk down Market Hill to Tesco Fullbridge, the 228 Bus is also the 'hoppa' to the Tesco's store. • Parking - Free parking for 3 hours at Tesco's but after 3 hours fines payable, alternatively Butt Lane Car Park and walk down to meeting point.
