Description
This walk, designed by the Maldon & Dengie Ramblers, is based around the village of Woodham Walter. It is a figure of eight, meaning you can walk the morning loop (6.2 miles), afternoon loop (5.5 miles), or both (11.7 miles), as the walk will return to the start point in Woodham Walter (the Bell) for lunch (not included in festival).
The morning walk heads out towards the Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation as far as Beeleigh Falls. The afternoon walk heads westwards, visiting the beautiful woodlands of Woodham Walter Common, Poors Piece and Thrift Wood.
Distance: 11.7 miles (6.5 miles am / 5.5 miles pm)
