How a local lady went from the Essex coastline  to completing 4 ocean crossings in a rowing boat!

On the 30th September Dawn Smith BEM will be presenting a story of her connection with the local coastline and how her love of the water led her to take on the biggest challenge of her life.  In 2019 Dawn rowed the Atlantic Ocean solo and unsupported, to raise awareness about plastic pollution in our waters.

Since then Dawn has completed another 3 ocean crossings in both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans and hundreds of miles round the U.K. coastline.  She has gained a world record and a British Empire Medal along her journey.
