Description
The little village of Mundon has a few surprises tucked up its sleeve. Join this walk to marvel at the ancient and mysterious “petrified” oak trees, which were recorded in the Domesday Book and admire the sympathetically restored medieval church of St Mary’s at Mundon. Near the end of the walk we'll also explore Mundon Furze, which is one of the last areas of surviving ancient woodland in the Dengie peninsula. At the end of the walk there's the option of lunch or refreshments in the "White Horse".
