Start with a scenic ferry crossing from Burnham over the River Crouch to the stunning RSPB Wallasea Island Nature Reserve. This guided walk explores a beautiful landscape of lagoons, saltmarsh and sea. Spring brings the reserve to life, with nesting avocets and little ringed plovers, marsh harriers overhead and, if you’re lucky, a short-eared owl on the hunt. Listen for terns and booming bitterns, and watch for common seals along the shoreline. With wide skies, rich wildlife and a return ferry included, this is a memorable coastal adventure.

To help maximise availability for everyone wishing to take part in these walks, a £3 refundable booking fee per walk ticket applies. This fee is only retained for very late cancellations (within 24 hours of the walk start) or no-shows; otherwise, it will be refunded. Please note there is a non-refundable transaction processing fee of £0.75p per booking.

Full details are provided in the terms and conditions which can be viewed at time of booking. You can manage all bookings via the “Manage Tickets” link at the top of the page.
