A Taste of the Wild: Autumn on the Saltmarsh Coast
Begin the Festival with an inspiring evening celebrating the wildlife of the Saltmarsh Coast. John Buchanan, author of Wildlife of Maldon: The Natural History of a Riverside Town, will introduce the remarkable flora and fauna found around Maldon and the Blackwater Estuary. As autumn gathers pace and migratory birds return in growing numbers, discover the seasonal sights and sounds to look and listen for during the Festival’s walks. Drawing on years of close observation, John will reveal why this varied and beautiful coast is such an extraordinary place for wildlife.
