Fairies, Folklore and Folksong: An Enchanting Evening with macTheatre
Step into an enchanting world of fairies, folklore and folksong in this light-hearted literary entertainment created especially for the Saltmarsh Coast Walking Festival. Local professional actors Barrie Jaimeson and Nicola Esson trace the journey of folk tales from oral tradition into classical literature, playfully weaving together local legends, ancient myths, science, art, music and historical fact. Discover how the “little people” have made a surprisingly big impression on our culture, imagination and everyday lives. Warm, witty and wonderfully theatrical, this magical evening promises stories, music and plenty of gentle mischief—the perfect finale to a day spent wandering the coast.
