Salt Marsh Nature Journal : an All-Day Retreat

Breathe deep, connect with nature, and begin your own nature journal exploring the plants & birds of the salt marsh.

Everyone is welcome! This is a wonderful and gentle introduction for first-time beginners and a great opportunity for others to develop their skills.

We will stroll along the river, listening, observing, gathering, and learning about the huge variety of life that makes its home on the riverbank of the Adur SSSI, then head back to the studio to sketch and paint our treasures in pencil, pen and watercolour.  You’ll learn  basic techniques of drawing and watercolour and lots of tips and tricks, and enjoy a simple yummy vegetarian lunch with wine ( or bring your own if you prefer.)

By the end of the day, you'll have begun a wonderful record of this fragile environment that you can develop and enjoy for years to come.

Everything is included: Lunch, teas, coffees, biscuits, a concertina sketchbook and a box set of watercolour paints for you to keep, and the use of all of my materials throughout the day. £90.
