MCreativeJ - Shoe Embroidery 101

Curious about how to embroider your shoes? Learn how to stitch your fabric, canvas, or soft shoes and make them uniquely yours in this hands-on workshop. Join author and fiber artist Melissa Galbraith of MCreativeJ for a two hour shoe embroidery workshop. You’ll learn how to get started with shoe embroidery, choose from assorted nature inspired patterns, transfer your designs onto shoes, prep your thread, and what tools and stitches are helpful for embroidering on shoes. During the workshop, you’ll be able to choose from a wide variety of thread colors to create your own unique design. In class you’ll learn how to embroider the satin stitch, split back stitch, reverse chain stitch, and French knot.

You will need to bring a pair of canvas, fabric, or other type of soft shoes to class to embroider. Lace up shoes are recommended. All other materials provided.
