VISIONS & VOICES - a Panel Discussion
Emerging Voices in Filipino Cinema: My First Feature
presented by CHAI: API Employee Affinity Group in partnership with SWC Pagkakaisa Student Club
This year's Visions & Voices promises to be an engaging panel discussion featuring a diverse lineup of emerging Filipino filmmakers who just released their debut feature and a multi-awarded filmmaker who is now developing her first feature.
Guest panelists include:
🔸 Kayla Abuda Galang, recipient of the Short Film Grand Prize at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival for "When You Left Me On That Boulevard"
🔸 Jhett Tolentino, a Grammy and Tony award-winning Broadway and film producer, who has recently ventured into directing with his first feature, Asian Persuasion
🔸 Mike Ang (@mangstermind), an Asian American lifestyle and entertainment entrepreneur, who not only wrote but also produced his debut feature screenplay, Asian Persuasion
🔸 Larry Daguino Lariosa, whose debut feature documentary film, Searching for Kapwa, has been chosen as the Centerpiece Feature for this year's SDFFF.
🎤 Moderating the panel is CAPE and Paramount CBS Emerging Director Fellow, San Diego based filmmaker Chrissie de Guzman.
