Based in San Diego, their work centers on community, culture, and social issues through independent cinema. They produce both narrative and documentary films and their recent creative collaboration is The Road to Sydney feature documentary. Together, they’ve worked on award-winning projects including BOUNDARY, Harana: The Search for the Lost Art of Serenade, A Long March, A is for Agustin, Amazing Grace, The Gift of Barong and The Interpreter. Their films have received recognition from Cinemalaya, the Busan International Film Festival, the Gawad Urian Awards, the NATAS PSW Emmy Awards, and most recently, from the Society of Filipino Film Reviewers.
Through filmmaking and community work, Benito and Emma continue to develop and produce independent films, champion independent Filipino storytelling and create space for voices and stories that are often overlooked.
