Children's Christmas Lego Decoration Workshop
Come on a brick-based, avian adventure into the wonderful world of birds and LEGO® on Sunday 7th December at either 10am, 11.30am or 1pm! A hoot for all, we will provide all the materials needed to create your own special, festive Robin decoration out of bricks!
On completion of your decoration, you will be provided with a Garden Birds Spotters Guide to take home and you are more than willing to borrow a pair of our binoculars and explore our reserve.
This workshop is part of the Observatory’s Christmas Fayre, where you can treat yourself to hot seasonal beverages of your choice along with festive sweet treats, as well as stocking up on some gifts!
Led by an experienced team of education leaders and conservationists, we are based on the private Sandwich Bay estate and home to Restharrow Scrape, an artificial wetland which acts as a refuge for many birds, as well as woodland, grassland, dunes and beach.
Children need nature, and nature needs future generations to take action and save it. Attendance at our sessions are a wonderful way to create memories shaped by nature that will inspire a lifelong passion for the world around us and by taking part, you’re not only enjoying a festive and creative experience – you’re also helping to support our vital charitable work! Every workshop contributes directly to our efforts in recording and conserving the habitats and wildlife of Sandwich Bay and beyond, ensuring these special places and the species that depend on them can thrive for years to come.
Please be aware:
- Children must be accompanied by an adult who is able to encourage and help them with the activities
- This event is suitable for children and families (accompanying adults are free, unless they also wish to build a Lego decoration)
