Mid-week morning Walk : New Downs Pools (Sandwich Bay)

This morning walk will be led by Phil Poole. After meeting at SBBOT Car Park we will share cars and drive the short distance to the polytunnels near New Downs Farm. We will then walk the little explored area along the flood bank parallel to the River Stour towards Bloody Point and the scrapes known as New Downs pools. We will then return to our cars, possibly visiting the "reservoirs" at the back of Princes Golf Club. Possible bird species include warblers, finches, wildfowl, waders and wildfowl on their way back from northern regions, etc.

Note : In the event of continuing drought conditions, this event may be switched to a walk from the Field centre to the Green Wall area, with the same start and finish times.
