The Power of Stillness
The Power of Stillness
Join Sandy Smith at beautiful St. Mary's Sewanee for the Fall 2025 retreat.
The world is frenetic. Our culture encourages busyness. Too many of us walk through life exhausted, feeling like we are inadequate, even as we struggle to keep up with endless ‘to do’ lists. Sound familiar?
At beautiful St Mary’s Sewanee, we will explore the Power of Stillness. We will draw from ancient mystical practices and teachers, as we listen for the Holy in our lives. This is not a silent retreat, but we will often turn to silence as our teacher. We will explore new practices for finding stillness underneath the noise of the world. Our time together will balance group and private time, allowing you to open your heart to the deep nudging of your soul. The beautiful setting tucked on the side of the Cumberland Plateau allows your soul to relax.
All adults - both men and women - are welcome to participate in this event. The retreat will kick off with dinner on Friday, October 3. St Mary's Sewanee is about two hours away from Nashville. We will finish with closing worship on Sunday. Both single and double occupancy rooms are available.
The total cost of the retreat includes lodging in the new Anna House, all meals (dinner Friday, three meals on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday) along with facilitation and supplies. We are happy to accommodate roommate requests for double occupancy - just let us know!
- $500 in a double occupancy room.
- $600 in a single occupancy room
Cancellations will only receive refunds IF the space is filled.
