Climate Career Session: Real Projects, Real Advice

Are you interested in helping create climate resilience in the Bay Area and beyond, and exploring whether a climate career might be next for you?

This event brings together climate-resilient design thinking from the Berkeley College of Environmental Design (CED) community with your business expertise in financing, partnership, governance and delivery.

The objective: to spark ideas on how visions get built and sustained. For business-minded professionals, this is an opportunity to meet the people behind real projects and research, see where your expertise applies to the human adaptation challenges that climate change is already forcing, and discover where a climate career could lead. For designers, it's a chance to pressure-test your visions against people who move capital and make implementation possible.

Climate designers will bring solutions on four topics: (1) Flooding disaster management; (2) Environmental contamination from sea level rise; (3) Extreme heat; (4) Green infrastructure.

$12 donation covers the facility rental. We're hosting this at 9Zero, a climate coworking space in the SF Financial District.

Agenda:

• 5:00pm: Reception and networking
• 5:30pm: Project introductions
• 6:00pm: Topic tables
• 7:00pm – Event close/Networking

This event is co-sponsored by the Berkeley-Haas Alumni Network of SF, but all are welcome to contribute!
