Description
Valerie Goodwin’s Dialogue Between Quilting and Architecture
As a practicing architect, a professor at Florida A & M University’s School of Architecture, and a renowned fiber artist, Valerie explores elements common to both practices, including shape, composition, ordering systems, color, texture, and pattern. Her quilts are inspired by aerial views of landscapes and cities and use intricate lines and shapes to create complex fiber art maps with both real and imagined features.
