KRAMPUS NIGHT - Santa Cruz Style - at Sparky's Holiday Lights 2026

He’s back! Krampus returns to the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds for his Third annual Krampus Night—a mischievously merry walk-through experience at Sparky’s Holiday Lights.

Gather your friends and family, don your favorite Krampus attire, and explore the dazzling light displays on foot. This ¾-mile illuminated wonderland grows bigger and brighter every year, with millions of lights decorating tractors, trees, and buildings across the fairgrounds—all set to festive holiday music.

Meet Krampus in person for photos, fun, and just a little fright! In Germanic folklore, Krampus is St. Nicholas’s darkly playful counterpart—half goat, half demon—who keeps watch over the naughty while St. Nick rewards the nice. His name comes from the German word Krampen (“claw”), and his legend has inspired celebrations, movies, and “Krampus Crawls” around the world.

The evening also features a Dark Holiday Market filled with unique local vendors offering handcrafted gifts, Krampus-themed art, chocolates, jewelry, decorations, and more. Enjoy delicious food, sweet treats, and warm beverages as you stroll through the sparkling displays.
