Hedge Planting Days in Sapperton with Stroud Valleys Project: 20 February and 26 February from 10 am - 3 pm
Join our hedge planting days! By planting new hedgerows we will be creating vital wildlife corridors and supporting biodiversity for years to come. At our hedge planting days you will:
- Learn how to plant and protect young hedgerow plants
- Gain practical countryside conservation skills (no experience needed)
- Work alongside Stroud Valleys Project organisers and the Sapperton Wilder team to create new wildlife friendly hedgerows
Our volunteering days are active, outdoor sessions requiring a moderate level of fitness. All skill levels are welcome!
What to Bring
- Spades - we have a limited number, so please bring your own if possible
- Gloves - we have a limited number, so please bring your own if possible
- Waterproofs, warm outdoor clothing & appropriate shoes
- We will be providing hot drinks and biscuits
- Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of water
Site location & Parking
The planting site is located just outside of Sapperton village on land managed by Sapperton Wilder.

Please park in the layby off the A419. From there, you can walk through the gateway and into the field. Head down the edge of the field towards the planting location marked below.
