Winter / Spring dates:
Saturday 28th February 10.30-1pm
Saturday 28th March 10.30-1pm
Saturday 2nd May 10.30-1pm
These are regular and much appreciated workshops are held in Stourbridge at General Office Gallery Gallery / Event space.
A small group of up to six attendees, we begin with table and floor based exercises - focusing ourselves on a moment-to-moment approach - easing us gradually from small to large, table to wall and ultimately towards an expanded space of drawing.
We will draw collaboratively and then each person has a wall space and time to draw independently.
The workshops are founded on the sympathetic principles of Guided Drawing and we work with embodied, non critical approaches nurturing process, journeying and creative inclusion. Many people acknowledge this is a rare opportunity to work on a large scale.
Attendees leave with:
- a positive experience of expanded drawing
a series of exercises to stimulate creative thinking
-
a renewed interest in a material approach to making
-
a liberated sense of embodied, movement and touch led making
Many attendees return to deepen their approach to this method of drawing. This workshop is now in its six year of development.
COST: £45.00 including all materials/refreshments
WORKSHOP LEAD: Sarah Goudie is a Midlands based artist / creative practitioner delivering valued workshop opportunities that stimulate and support artists and non-artists alike to nurture their relationship to drawing through expanded drawing methods.
