A workshop using expanded drawing, touch, blind and bilateral approaches; in response, in respect.
This is part of an ongoing 'making and unmaking' series focusing on haptics and journeying. I am really pleased to create this offer which sits closely to my own practice of drawing. Expanded drawing approaches will be used to draw closer to and breathe fresh light into the hidden; be it body, voice, relation to... ourselves and to others. This is a nurturing, exploratory workshop with tenderness and reflection at its heart.

WORKSHOP FACILITATOR: Sarah Goudie. Sarah is a visual artist and creative practitioner. She works with intimate and contemplative making practices; the space of drawing being a consistent focus. A fascination with issues of beauty and injury, compassionate touch and witnessing are central to making and research. These are examined over long periods of time within bodies of work and through co-enquiries with fellow artists. A multi-disciplinary practice involves installation, drawing, object making, film, spoken word and writing. Creating a poetic of repair sits deeply within the creative exchange.
As a creative practitioner she develops expanded drawing workshops for groups within museum, gallery and outdoor venues. She has studied Guided Drawing practices through the Institute for Sensorimotor Art Therapy. Concepts of haptic reward, touch methodologies and bilateral activity sit at the heart of her guidance in 1-1 online and in person co-enquiries.
