Info Sessions: "Personal Compass" and "Countercultures of Care" programmes

Mon 2 Mar 2026 18:30 - 20:30 CET Online, Zoom

See all upcoming events and workshops here.

I have two adjacent community learning-and-action workshop series that will be launching this March: Personal Compass (the redesigned version of the beloved Life Architecture series), and a new programme for facilitators and those who work in collective contexts, called Countercultures of Care

At the start of March, I'll host an online infosession for those who want to learn more about one or both of these offerings. You can join for the whole session, or just log in for the session that is most relevant for you. I'll be hanging out in the same zoom link with a small break between sessions.

These info sessions are donations-based. Hope to see you there!

18:30 CET — Personal Compass infosession

A redesign of the much-loved Life Architecture community learning and action series, this 4-month programme invites participants to collectively imagine and practice living in ways that are more alive with what we truly care about.

This will be a space to practice economies of mutuality and interdependence, rather than scarcity and individualism. Starting in March, will meet once a month for 4 months, with support prompts and resources for in-between. The programme will be offered online, with an option for a couple in-person meetups for those based in Berlin.

Using participatory, conversation- and creativity-based methods, we will explore some of these questions together:

  • What are my personal ethics and intentions in this life? What do I really care about, and why?
  • What shifts might I like to make in how I spend my precious life energy?
  • According to my ethics, which movement(s) are calling to me, and how can I show up in active solidarity?
  • What are my personal strengths, based on my own lived experiences, wisdom, knowledge, learnings and skills I already have? Are there further skills/learnings I might want to explore to help me show up in my values for the moment we find ourselves in?
  • What sorts of concrete possibilities fit within the frames I am outlining for myself? What are the areas where I have some agency to change things? What are the areas where I have less agency / feel more restricted, and why?
  • What's a possible plan for regenerative, long-term engagement around the things I care about? With whom do I need to connect to support me and keep me accountable in this journey?

Session dates:
Sundays March 22nd, April 26th, May 24th, June 28th
16:00-19:00 CET (15:00-18:00 UK, 10:00am-1:00pm U.S. Eastern, 7:00am-10:00 U.S. Pacific)

19:30 CET — Countercultures of Care infosession

Building on last year’s Facilitating Change workshop series, based on feedback from the participants, I’ve decide to run a space which is focused not only on knowledge-transfer, but also on mutual support. Between 2020-2025 I worked within aequa Workshops Collective, and experienced firsthand the power of regularly sharing knowledge, skills, learnings, and just having a place to ask “What is the most ethical course of action?” in a group of trusted peers. Now that this experience has ended, I thought it could be useful to bring the benefits of that arrangement into a programme in which many of the amazing facilitators I know (and maybe some I don’t-yet-know) can share the same.

This will be a space to practice economies of mutuality and interdependence, rather than scarcity and individualism. Starting in March, will meet once a month through December, with a break in August.

Online, with option for a couple in-person meetups for those in Berlin.

Based on the needs of the group, specific sessions might cover, for example:

  • Power-critical facilitation basics
  • Knowledge and power: exploring ways to “[gesture towards decolonial futures](https://decolonialfutures.net/)” in our approaches to learning design and facilitation
  • Trauma-responsive facilitation and the role of embodiment and somatics
  • Facilitating and designing spaces for group collaboration / participation
  • Meaning-making in facilitation, and the power of outliers
  • Making decisions in groups, whether by consensus or other methods
  • Facilitated peer-support sessions for specific challenging case studies from the group
  • Embodied practice-and-feedback sessions, using both imagined scenarios and real-life examples from the group.

Session dates:
Starting in March, fourth Thursdays of the month (except August, December)
19:00-21:00 CET (18:00-20:00 UK, 1-3:00pm U.S. Eastern, 10:00am-12:00pm U.S. Pacific)

If you already want to reserve your spot, please apply using this form.
