London Branch: Application of Engineering Safety Management on a Major Project – Lessons Learnt – Part 3: Worked Example
Wed 13 Nov 2024 6:00 PM - 7:45 PM
Crossrail International Ltd, Great Minster House, 33 Horseferry Road, London, SW1P 4DR
Description
SaRS is bringing you a series of Technical Learning webinars on the Lessons Learnt from the Application of Engineering Safety Management on a Major Project. This in-person event is Part 3 of the three part series giving an overview and some strategic and tactical detail from delivery of Engineering Safety Management (ESM) on the Crossrail project through to Revenue Service of the Elizabeth Line. The series is being presented by a team of system safety, engineering and integration experts drawing from a combined 50 years of experience on the Crossrail project alone.
While Parts 1 and 2 are delivered as online webinars, Part 3 will be a joint in-person meeting (register for tickets here) and online webinar event (click here) giving you the opportunity to meet up and discuss the important ESM lessons learnt with the expert team who have come together for this series.
In Part 3 – Worked Example of ESM – Integration of Signalling System on board Yellow Plant we will take a close look at our application of ESM to achieve integration of a signalling system on board Yellow Plant (i.e. Engineering Trains used for maintenance of the Elizabeth Line infrastructure), specifically the following examples of Explicit Risk Estimation:
- How some non-compliances found at the Rolling Stock-Signalling interface were analysed and justified;
- The braking system performance analysis undertaken as a key assessment in support the safety justification
Tea and coffee will be served from 17:30 and the event will start at 18:00.
The presentation and Q&A will last approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes
