SCD INVITES YOU TO FEBRUARY CAMP [THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN CHRISTMAS CAMP 2023]

We are thrilled to invite you to book in for an awesome dance adventure on the 13th & 14th of February 2024, during the Half Term week.

Christmas Camp in February - huh?

Back in July 2023 we realised that putting on a Christmas Camp in 2023 would be tricky with schools ending so late in December. So we made a plan and announced back in July that Christmas Camp would actually be taking place in February this time around. It was a bit confusing at first but we believe it was the best plan and now...

... we could not be any more excited to welcome you to join us for LOVE [to dance] ACTUALLY.

Whats the theme about?

Have you seen or heard of the film LOVE ACTUALLY? Its become quite a classic for Christmas time as a story of love, humanity, humour and all with an awesome soundtrack. And for Team SCD we felt it would be a brilliant way to link to Christmas with the February 14th vibes and theme of love through Valentine's day. But don't worry it won't just be about the slushy romantic stuff!

Its going to be a theme full of laughter, brilliant music and we believe something for everyone to enjoy. AND to create a brilliant lasting memory at the end..

What are we doing during the two days?

Mainly dancing - thats the short version.

Here's the longer version...We will have an action packed 2 days; 12 hours full of dance and musical theatre creativity; learning routines, developing dance skills, keeping fit and strong and having great fun with a wonderful range of people. As with our other 2 day camps, instead of the pressure of working towards a show, we will be instead making a high quality SCD music video featuring everyone that takes part. 

All led by the wonderful Team SCD bringing their usual care, skills and creativity to share with you all.

Who is it for?

SCD Dance Camps are open to everyone who is already in Reception Year at School upwards through High School Years. 
Students enrolled in and paying for SCD classes each month are able to buy half price tickets. Guests and friends of SCD can book in at the normal ticket price and siblings of enrolled students are eligible for a discounted ticket price.

Those in High School Yr8 upwards are able to apply to book in as Young Leaders. Select this option when booking and your application will be considered. For these places you will need to agree with the Young Leader expectations we will send you when you book in.

KEY INFO

* Booking is for both days, single days cannot be booked.
* Tickets cost £38 for enrolled SCD class members, £50 for SCD class siblings or £76 for guest family members (those with no one in the family currently paying for SCD classes). 
* Doors open 10.00 both days for student drop off - your ticket QR code will be scanned both mornings
* Pick up is 16.00 both days
* Wear trainers and comfortable clothes for dancing in - feel free to wear Christmas or love themed clothes
* The camp is open to all school age children from Reception upwards - those in Reception year as of January 2024
* Each student will need to bring a packed lunch, water bottle and snacks - please avoid anything containing nuts to keep others safe
* High School yr8+ students, already enrolled in SCD classes are invited to join the team as Young Leaders for a free ticket and to develop leadership skills whilst having a great time supporting younger students.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS - booking a ticket means you understand and agree to these terms

> Tickets are refundable in full ONLY for cancellations sent before midnight on Thursday 8th February.
> Later cancellations, made by midnight on Sunday 11th February can receive a 50% refund.
> No refunds are possible after midnight on Sunday 11th February as simply SCD will not have the time to fill cancelled places and cannot afford to lose money whilst trying to keep all camps and classes as affordable as possible.
