Diocesan Assembly Toolkit Drop-in
The School for Synodality is very pleased to release (IN DRAFT FORMAT ONLY AT THIS POINT!) our new resource, the Diocesan Assembly Toolkit. With step-by-step guidance, it covers formation for Synodal Teams, gathering local stories for the Report, the logistics of an Assembly day, engaging the wider community, and how the process can serve diocesan priorities - alongside practical resources at each point to lighten the load for organising teams.
This resource is for all on the Synod journey, but will be of particular interest to synodal teams, diocesan co-leads and anyone involved in organising an Assembly.
We see the Assembly process as a real opportunity for renewal in the Church:
- Introducing synodality to a much wider group of people
- Helping us understand how synodal practices are already transforming many areas of our Catholic life
- And sharing the learning as an exchange of gifts with the local and global Church

To support the Assembly process, we are also offering a pair of webinars:
Wed 12th August, 1pm London time, a drop-in to chat through the Assembly process and introduce our Toolkit. This would be particularly helpful for anyone looking to get planning underway over the summer. Register via this page for tickets.
Mon 7th September - 12noon London time. The formal launch of the Toolkit! We’re delighted that we’ll be joined by Sr Nathalie Becquart (Under-Secretary of the Synod Secretariat) and Fr Giacomo Costa (Consultor to the Secretariat) to help unpack the vision for the Assembly process, and share their tips from hosting the Rome Synod Assemblies. https://www.tickettailor.com/events/schoolforsynodality/2316506
