Ymunwch â ni ar gyfer gweminar AM DDIM lle byddwn ni’n rhannu cipolwg ar werthusiad tair blynedd o'r dull ysgol gyfan o ymdrin â lles emosiynol a meddyliol yng Nghymru, a ariennir gan Ganolfan Wolfson ar gyfer Iechyd Meddwl Pobl Ifanc, Prifysgol Caerdydd.

Wrth ddefnyddio data a dealltwriaeth o’r Rhwydwaith, bydd y weminar yn trin a thrafod a yw iechyd meddwl plant a phobl ifanc a'r ymdeimlad o gysylltiad â'r ysgol wedi newid dros amser ers y cyflwynwyd y dull ysgol gyfan o ymdrin â lles emosiynol a meddyliol

Bydd y weminar hon yn ystyried:

  • Ystyr cysylltedd ysgol a'r dimensiynau rydyn ni'n eu defnyddio yn y Rhwydwaith i'w fesur, gan gynnwys perthnasoedd â chyfoedion, perthnasoedd staff a dysgwyr a theimladau am yr ysgol.
  • Tueddiadau mewn cysylltedd ysgol ar gyfer dysgwyr oedran cynradd ac uwchradd yng Nghymru rhwng 2001 a 2023, yn seiliedig ar y dimensiynau uchod. Bydd hyn yn edrych ar newidiadau dros amser, gan gynnwys yng nghyd-destun pandemig Covid-19 a hefyd cyflwyno'r dull ysgol gyfan o ymdrin â llesiant emosiynol a meddyliol.
  • Tueddiadau mewn cysylltedd ysgol yn ôl nodweddion allweddol y dysgwr, gan gynnwys oedran, rhywedd a statws economaidd-gymdeithasol.
  • Canfyddiadau o gyfweliadau ansoddol gyda staff a dysgwyr sy'n ein helpu i ddehongli'r tueddiadau mewn cysylltedd ysgol a gyflwynwyd.

Pwy ddylai fynd: Athrawon Ysgol Gynradd ac Uwchradd, Staff Cymorth Ysgolion, Llywodraethwyr Ysgolion, Cydlynwyr Ysgolion Iach sy’n Hybu Iechyd a Llesiant (WNHWPS), Ymarferwyr Addysg a Gofal Cymdeithasol, Gweithwyr Ieuenctid a phartneriaid eraill y Rhwydwaith gan gynnwys llunwyr polisïau, ymchwilwyr, a sefydliadau'r trydydd sector.

Cyflwynir gan:

Dr Rachel Brown, Cymrawd Ymchwil, Y Ganolfan Datblygu a Gwerthuso Ymyriadau Cymhleth er Gwella Iechyd y Cyhoedd (DECIPHer), Prifysgol Caerdydd

Join us for a FREE webinar where we’ll share insights from a three-year evaluation of the Whole School Approach to Emotional and Mental Well-being in Wales, funded by the Wolfson Centre for Young People’s Mental Health, Cardiff University.

Using data and insights from The School Health Research Network (SHRN), the webinar will explore if children and young people’s mental health and sense of connection to school has changed over time since the Whole School Approach to Emotional and Mental Well-being was introduced.

This Webinar will Explore:

  • What we mean by school connectedness and the dimensions that we use in SHRN to measure it, including peer relationships, staff-learner relationships and feelings about school.
  • Trends in school connectedness for primary and secondary-aged learners in Wales from 2001 to 2023, based on the dimensions above. This will look at changes over time, including in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic and also the introduction of the Whole School Approach to Emotional and Mental Well-being.
  • Trends in school connectedness by key learner characteristics, including age, gender and socio-economic status.
  • Findings from qualitative interviews with staff and learners that help us to interpret the trends in school connectedness presented.

Who Should Attend: Primary and Secondary School Teachers, School Support Staff, School Governors, WNHWPS Healthy School Co-ordinators, Education and Social Care Practitioners, Youth Workers and other SHRN partners including policy makers, researchers, and third sector organisations.

Presented by:

Dr Rachel Brown, Research Fellow, Centre for Development, Evaluation, Complexity and Implementation in Public Health Improvement (DECIPHer), Cardiff University.

Dr Caitlyn Donaldson, Research Associate, Centre for Development, Evaluation, Complexity and Implementation in Public Health Improvement (DECIPHer) and Wolfson Centre for Young People’s Mental Health, Cardiff University.
