The Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition (VKIBC) was born from a desire to give young dancers a platform to compete in a fair, unpolitical forum. Dancers ranging from age 9 in the Youth Division, through professionals, to the age of 26 in the Senior Division assemble. Through several days of competition, dancers are scored meticulously by an esteemed panel of judges, all extremely qualified and reputable in their fields of expertise.

This year, School of Cleveland Ballet, the official school of Cleveland Ballet, a resident company of Playhouse Square, is proud to partner with VKIBC to present the competition’s only 2024 United States semi-final at Gilmour Academy in Cleveland.

Tickets are now available to watch the competitive performances. Reserved seating for premium seats is $35, and general admission tickets are $25.
