FRIVA Launch
FRIVA Launch
Need help?
From 10:00 - 12:30 on 20th June, the Feminist Research Into Violence & Abuse (FRIVA) network will be launched at Wellington House, Leeds, with support from West Yorkshire Combined Authority. FRIVA brings academics specialising in violence against women, girls, and marginalised groups, together with practitioners, policy makers, academics and service users, to promote evidence-led practice.
As well as learning about FRIVA, attendees will be invited to shape our work. Our aim is to build meaningful connections between researchers, policy-makers, and frontline practitioners to improve lives. This event invites open discussion about how research, evidence, and data are used — and could be used more effectively — to promote feminist responses to violence and abuse. Your insights will shape our network and what it prioritises. The morning will close with a buffet lunch and networking from 12:30 - 1:00.
We do hope that you will join us, along with Deputy Mayor Alison Lowe OBE and DCS Lee Berry.
With warm wishes,
Sam Lewis, Anna Barker and Rebecca Shaw
