What if the universe is far richer than we can perceive? Join astrophysicist and science communicator Dr Alfredo Carpineti as he explores how astronomers use invisible light, from radio waves to gamma rays, to uncover some of the universe's greatest mysteries.

Drawing on stories from his acclaimed book Invisible Rainbows, Alfredo will shine a light on the pivotal contributions of LGBTQIA+ astronomers and scientists. Discover how the people behind the science have shaped our understanding of the universe, and how our identities can influence the questions we ask, the discoveries we make, and the way we see the cosmos.

Sales of Alfredo’s book, Invisible Rainbows: The Unseen Universe Beyond Our Senses, will be available for purchase on the night.
