Learn with and from other crofters and small-scale producers!!

Suitable for both new entrant AND experienced crofters, the focus of our training is on improving croft sustainability – both economic and environmental:- croft diversification, biodiversity, adapting for climate change, changes in agricultural policy & funding, and much more.

Croft visits and inspirational case studies will be a key part of training delivery, alongside discussion and lots of opportunities to ask your burning questions!

Have you been asking yourself:-

• How can I prepare for changes in agricultural policy?
• How can I make my croft more sustainable:- economically & environmentally?
• What can I learn from others to adapt my crofting practice - for climate change, biodiversity, and more?
• What resources are available to support me?

Answers to these and other questions in our in-person, interactive two day training course.

Portgower Hall; Friday 17th January & Saturday 18th January 2025.
Members:- £50; Non-members:- £80

This includes morning & afternoon refreshments, lunch and croft visits.

The course will be co-designed with participants choosing modules from the following topics:

(i) Land Management; (ii) Animal Management; (iii) Horticulture/Silviculture/Agro-forestry; (iv) Economic Sustainability.
