Folk, Fiddles and Freedom: a fundraiser for Scottish Detainee Visitors!

Not just a folk night; a night of fighting back against immigration detention featuring original sounds inspired by Scottish Trad, folk-pop and topped off with a full musical ensemble!

Prepare for a line up like no other; three local and talented bands/ artists are to be joined together for one night of musical magic featuring: 

Anny Leigh - A Glasgow-based pop/folk singer-songwriter whose stunning vocals and beautiful guitar playing bring warmth to the soul.

Coleman Row- a local folk/trad duo generating original sounds with a weird and wonderful take on the Scottish Tradition.

Mockestra- gear up for an energetic and playful set of the songs you know and love from a full instrumental musical ensemble!

The 19th-25th of October is the national week of solidarity to end immigration detention. Scottish Detainee Visitors is the only detention-specific group in Scotland. We are working to not only support those who are detained at immigration removal centre Dungavel but also on a policy level to end immigration detention. Support our work by buying a ticket, telling your pals and most of all advocating for the end to immigration detention across Scotland and the UK!

Every ticket purchase will go towards our visiting service and advocacy work; £10 is one top-up voucher to someone in detention, £25 is the cost of one visit from Glasgow, £30 is the cost of an emergency payment to someone leaving detention.
