Welcome to the registration page for the 12th SIPR Scottish International Policing Conference.

This year the conference is being co-chaired by Dr Shane Horgan and Dr Ben Collier of the University of Edinburgh and the theme of the conference is on Technology and Digital Policing which aligns with SIPR’s second strategic priority and covers a range of topics including artificial intelligence, surveillance, and cyber security. The title of this year’s Scottish International Policing Conference 2025 is ‘The Future of Policing and Technology; promise, peril, and pathways to justice’. 

As always, our aim for our conference is to provide an opportunity for valuable discussions, identifying key challenges and potential solutions, and sharing examples of best practice. We hope to provide plenty of opportunities to network, and meet your colleagues across policy, practice, and academia.

This year, the James Smart Memorial Lecture 2025 will be delivered by Special Agent Elliot Peterson of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Nick Fyfe Lecture will be delivered by Dr Lisa Sugiura, an Associate Professor in Cybercrime and Gender of the University of Portsmouth.
