Ever wanted to publish print media of your own? Had an important message you needed to circulate, make comics, or document prrojects in cool creative ways?

Zines (pronounced ZEENs) are small self published, often DIY booklets or magazines, born out of subcultures like science fiction and punk music, with a history of sharing very human information.

Did you know zines have a long and radical history, especially here in Atlanta?

Join our scrappy zine club to find out this and build community around playing with paper.

We’ll be exploring, collage, paper folding techniques, binding, and materials to make one of a kind (or an army of ) zines!

We have craft supplies available to all participants. We will have paper, magazines, prints, stamps, markers, scissors, glue, etc.

we will NOT have access to a photocopier/printer at scraplanta, so bring any original artwork, text, custom printed materials you may need.

Feel free to also bring a computer to collaborate or learn some tips on making zines digitally.
