Life is Dance (N/C PG) with Dir. Eirene Houston Intro, Q&A, and Cuban dancing

A special sharing of ‘Life is Dance’ with an intro and Q&A from Director, Eirene Houston. Eirene will create her signature Havana Glasgow cocktails, and teach us some Cuban dance moves after the film. 

Full of colour, music and heart, this award-winning documentary follows six Cuban charismatic characters across three generations. Marta and Félix long for the dance halls of old, but they still take to the floor whenever they can. For Damaris and Gusmel, leaders of a small-town dance group, winning the annual competition means everything. Meanwhile, teenagers Lachy and Dayan dream of turning professional—if only they could stick to reggaeton and skip the ‘old people’s dances’. 

Eirene Houston is a documentary filmmaker, screenwriter and Director/Curator of Havana Glasgow Film Festival.
