Sultana’s Dream (N/C U)

When Spanish artist Inés stumbles upon Sultana’s Dream - a 1905 feminist sci-fi story by Rokeya Hossain - she is instantly captivated. The story describes ‘Ladyland’, a utopian world where women rule the country and men live in seclusion, taking care of the home. Fascinated by this vision, Inés sets off across India in search of the one place where women can live in peace.

Winner of multiple awards including: Contrechamp Grand Prix, Annecy International Animation Film Festival (2024) and ANIMA Brussels (2024), Best Animated Feature
