Little Amélie (U)
A little Belgian girl born in Japan approaches her third birthday but her world of adventures is about to change. To capture the perspective of a young girl with wide-eyed curiosity, Little Amélie is animated in an impressionistic style, using pastel colours and omitting the usual contours and outlines. The film echoes the narrative techniques of Japanese master animator Hayao Miyazaki.
