Underwater Drawing with Animator Viola Madau

Dive into the waters of Tiree and discover a whole new way of seeing the sea. Inspired by the creative process behind her animated film, filmmaker and certified snorkelling guide Viola Madau invites participants to explore the underwater world through sketching.

Participants will snorkel in shallow coastal waters, pausing to make simple observational sketches using specially designed waterproof sketchpads. No artistic experience is necessary - just a sense of curiosity and a willingness to slow down and look closely at the extraordinary world beneath the surface. If sea conditions aren't suitable for snorkelling, the workshop will instead explore Tiree's fascinating rock pools and shoreline, offering plenty of inspiration above the waterline.

For groups of 8 people and under, participants must provide their own wetsuits and socks. Snorkel mask provided (for ages 18+).
