Creating Impact Through Enterprise
Need help?
As part of this year's West Midlands Combined Authority's 'Social Economy Drive', SCVO is pleased to invite you to their Sandwell-focused event, 'Creating Impact Through Enterprise'.
Supported by West Midlands Combined Authority, along with Power to Change, SED2023 is one of the building blocks in the West Midlands Social Economy Growth strategy as outlined in the publication: ‘Growing the Social Economy in the WMCA Area: A Framework for Action’.
We all want to make a difference in our communities – but how can we do this in a way that maximises impact and is sustainable over the longer-term? This event explores the opportunities that social enterprises offer the local community, with a focus on what can make a difference in Sandwell specifically and what support is available to nurture, enable and resource new initiatives in the borough.
‘Creating Impact Through Enterprise’ is for budding entrepreneurs, new or fledgling social enterprises as well as for established charities and not-for-profits that want to expand and develop their services through trading. The event will cover:-
- An introduction to social enterprise, and what our ‘social economy’ landscape looks like across Sandwell and the West Midlands region
- How to access local ‘incubator’ support for new enterprises, to benefit from coaching or to secure funds and resources to pump-prime your organisation or project
- Ways in which established organisations can look to diversify their funding through traded services, highlighting examples of sustainable activity in Sandwell
- An opportunity to network with other delegates and meet support providers face-to-face.
