VCS Briefing - SHAPE Programme

We are pleased to invite members of Voluntary and Community Sector Children and Young People's Forums and participation groups to attend a SHAPE Programme Briefing Session. This session will provide an overview of the key findings from the recent SHAPE Survey, which received an incredible 3,832 responses from children and young people across Sandwell, helping to identify their priorities, experiences and views.

The briefing will also introduce the newly approved Elevating Our Voice Children and Young People's Engagement Strategy, along with the SEND Working Together Charter, which sets out Sandwell's commitment to ensuring young people's voices influence decision-making and service design.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

• Learn about becoming a member of the Sandwell Youth Forums' Networkers Group, a borough-wide network of youth voice champions and forum leads.
• Hear about the development of the new Sandwell Strategic Voice Board, which is replacing and enhancing the previous SHAPE Strategic Board.
• Register their organisation's forum or participation group as a recognised engagement and consultation opportunity for partners seeking to involve children and young people in their work.
• Find out how organisations can support meaningful participation and influence decision-making across Sandwell.
• Ask questions directly to the SHAPE Programme Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity to explore how your children and young people can contribute to shaping services, policies and decisions that affect them.
