Non toxic Printmaking - Salt etch on Aluminium
Four week course commencing Wednesday 22nd July 10.30 - 12.30
This is a relatively new process in the world of printmaking, and achieves quite a different look from that of traditional etching on copper.
Using a solution of copper sulphate and sodium, aluminium plates are etched with lines and tonal areas. Due to the nature of this metal, an aquatint isn't required.
Do I need to bring anything?
Basic materials including inks and printmaking paper will be provided. Wear something you don’t mind getting inky, or bring an apron - however there are some here to borrow too. No open toed shoes please!
If I can't attend can I get a refund?
We will refund you if you cancel no less than 14 days before the course, after this time no refunds will be issued. Please note Ticket tailor's booking fee is non refundable. By making a booking you are agreeing to our full course terms and conditions which can be found on our website here.
What if the course is cancelled?
We reserve the right to cancel the course for any reason (for example, insufficient bookings). We will endeavour to give at least 7 days notice if the course is cancelled and in the event of cancellation we will, of course, issue you a full refund. Please refer to full terms and conditions here.
Accessibility
Our aim is to bring printmaking to as many people as possible. By their nature, some printmaking processes involve an amount of physical effort. Seacourt Print Workshop is on street level, and is accessible through the front doors in a wheelchair. It is fully wheelchair accessible, larger than standard doors and disabled toilet facilities. We recognise that everybody’s accessibility needs may differ, therefore please email us at hello@seacourtprintworkshop.com to discuss any concerns you may have before booking.
