One Day Small scale Woodcut Workshop with Peter Brown Saturday 8th August 10am-4pm. 

This workshop will guide you through the process of traditional Woodcut printmaking. Working on a block of Japanese Shina Plywood sized 11x16cm. The morning will focus on drawing a design onto the block using tracing methods, and carving the lines using professional woodcutting tools. After lunch the focus will be on inking up your plate and printing on our beautiful vintage Columbian presses. 

You will come away with a small editions of hand carved prints, and maybe a swap or two from your fellow course participants! 

What experience do I need?

No previous experience or knowledge of printmaking is needed. The ability to describe your ideas through drawing will be helpful.

If I can't attend can I get a refund?

We will refund you if you cancel no less than 14 days before the course, after this time no refunds will be issued. Please note Ticket Tailor's booking fee is non refundable. By making a booking you are agreeing to our full course terms and conditions which can be found on our website here.

What if the course is cancelled?

We reserve the right to cancel the course for any reason (for example, insufficient bookings). We will endeavour to give at least 7 days notice if the course is cancelled and in the event of cancellation we will, of course, issue you a full refund. Please refer to full terms and conditions here.

Accessibility

Our aim is to bring printmaking to as many people as possible. By their nature, some printmaking processes involve an amount of physical effort. Seacourt Print Workshop is on street level, and is accessible through the front doors in a wheelchair. It is fully wheelchair accessible, larger than standard doors and disabled toilet facilities.
