Screen Print in depth - 6 week course

Join experienced screen printer Jessica Hollywood for this comprehensive over view of the screen printing technique. Focussing on both hand drawn mark-making and photographic imagery, you will learn everything from preparing your imagery, translating these onto screens and be guided through the subsequent printing process. The course will also include preparation of screens, use of LED exposure unit and correct cleaning procedures, all of which are integral parts of the process. 

What experience do I need?

This course is suitable for the beginner, however people with a background in graphic design maybe be particularly interested.

Your Tutor

Jessica Hollywood is an artist based in Bangor, Co.Down. Her company Birds & Words was founded in 2011 and is the umbrella for all of Jessica’s creative endeavours, including her original prints.

She studied Printmaking and was awarded a first class honours in Fine and Applied Art at the University of Ulster. Since graduating Jessica has continued to develop her practice and hone her skills at Seacourt Print Workshop, where she also teaches and is part time technician. She has been a member here since 2004, and values it as an integral cog in the wheels of her artistic production

If I can't attend can I get a refund?

What if the course is cancelled?

We reserve the right to cancel the course for any reason (for example, insufficient bookings). We will endeavour to give at least 7 days notice if the course is cancelled and in the event of cancellation we will, of course, issue you a full refund. Please refer to full terms and conditions here.

Accessibility

Our aim is to bring printmaking to as many people as possible. By their nature, some printmaking processes involve an amount of physical effort. Seacourt Print Workshop is on street level, and is accessible through the front doors in a wheelchair. It is fully wheelchair accessible, larger than standard doors and disabled toilet facilities.
