Leisurely Crantock Double

We've designed a glorious little Friday afternoon double swim. Both swims will be approx 1km...depending on the swimmer. *In the instance of swell at Polly Joke we may just hold a Gannel swim and cancel the Polly Joke swim altogether, issuing a part-refund and running a slightly longer Gannel Estuary swim. Tow floats are optional but there will be a few SUP and kayaks on the river, so might be worth bringing one along. 

Meeting on the beach at Polly Joke, ready to go on the beach at 9.30am. Can park up at the National Trust car park (TR8 5SE), the car park at Bowgie Inn or park a little further out at the Crantock National Trust car park and walking over. *Please be aware that it may be difficult to park up at Crantock for 11.30am-ish...there is an additional car park, just before the National Trust car park, on the right (but that might also be busy). You'll have approx 1 hr and 15 mins to walk from Polly Joke to the Gannel. 

After an exploratory swim at Polly Joke we'll then either walk or drive over to the Crantock National Trust car park. Aiming to swim at around 12.10-12.15pm (high tide at 12.16), taking advantage of a smaller neap tide, which offers additional safety and plenty of shallow areas, for the odd break.
